Professor Yossi Sheffi in upcoming broadcast of CNBC's 'Executive Vision'

Yossi Sheffi, Elisha Gray II Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Engineering Systems Division, will be featured in an upcoming episode of the CNBC series Executive Vision. The series, now in its second season, is a "global strategy session" in which host Simon Hobbs and a panel of renowned experts and leaders discuss provocative issues affecting major business sectors.

The episode featuring Sheffi — who is also director of the MIT Engineering Systems Division and the Center for Transportation and Logistics — is titled "Global Logistics." The other panelists include global logistics leaders such as Scott Davis of UPS, Herbjorn Hansson of Nordic American Tanker Shipping, Diane Irvine of Blue Nile, Kevin O'Marah of Gartner Group, Matthew Rose of BNSF Railway Company, and Gregory Swienton of Ryder. This season's other broadcasts have included discussions on media, technology, philanthropy and infrastructure.

The program airs worldwide, and premieres in the U.S. at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 1 on CNBC. Additional airing information can be found on the Executive Vision website, where the full episode will be available for online streaming after broadcast.
