Harbison concert to honor Institute Professor Peter Diamond

On Friday, April 30, the retirement of Institute Professor Peter Diamond will be commemorated with the premiere of a work composed by another of MIT's Institute Professors, John Harbison.

Pianists Robert Levin and Ya-Fei Chuang will perform the premiere Diamond Watch: Double Play for Two Pianos by Institute Professor John Harbison, commissioned by Priscilla (Kate) Myrick Diamond as a birthday present for economist and Institute Professor Peter Diamond in honor of his retirement from MIT.

The two-piano concert will take place in Kresge Auditorium (48 Massachusetts Ave.) on April 30, at 8 p.m.

The concert is sponsored by the MIT Music and Theater Arts Faculty Concert Series and made possible by the MIT School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. Visit the event website for more information.
