A three-part PBS series on MIT alumnus and former U.S. Secretary of State George P. Shultz PhD '49, which aired its first part on Monday, July 12, will continue over the next two consecutive Mondays from 10-11 p.m.
The series, titled "Turmoil & Triumph," will look closely at Shultz's service in President Ronald Reagan’s administration. The second and third parts of the series will be aired on July 19 and 26.
Shultz was a professor in the Department of Economics and the MIT Sloan School of Management from 1948 to 1957. He is also the chairman of the MIT Energy Initiative's External Advisory Board.
