MIT Provost L. Rafael Reif will deliver this year's Charles L. Miller Lecture, beginning at 4 p.m. in Grier Room B (34-401B). His focus will be on "Challenges and Opportunities Facing MIT: A View from the Provost's Office."
The event, co-sponsored by the MIT Engineering Systems Division and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, is free and open to the entire MIT community.
Reif, the Maseeh Professor of Emerging Technology, has been MIT’s provost since 2005.
The Miller lecture series is named for Charles L. Miller, who joined the Civil Engineering faculty in 1955, and served as head of the department from 1962-1969.
