Authors@MIT reading: "How the Soldier Repairs the Gramophone"

Saša Stanišić is the 2010 Max Kade Writer in Residence in Foreign Languages and Literatures at MIT. On Tuesday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the Stata Center (32-141), he will read from his novel, "How the Soldier Repairs the Gramophone."

"Displaying a stylistic audacity that is often dazzling ... this debut novel mixes fictionalized memoir, magical realism and a Catch-22 sense of war's tragicomic absurdity ... A novel rich with experience and imagination." Kirkus Reviews

This event is brought to you by authors@mit a series sponsored by the MIT Libraries and The MIT Press Bookstore. It is co-sponsored by the DAAD and the MIT European Club.
