There is little question that the Earth’s climate is changing, and the evidence links the warming to the huge amounts of greenhouse gases that we continue to pump into the atmosphere. MIT freshmen enrolled in the Solving Complex Problems course (12.000, or Mission 2013) are looking toward solutions. They’ll present their proposals for an integrated global solution to the rapid rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Stata Center (32-123). A question and answer session and refreshments will follow. Mission 2013 is part of the Terrascope program. The issues associated with carbon dioxide sequestration are the year-long theme of Terrascope.
