Holiday shopping can be local and artful

Community artisans will sell their wares at three upcoming sales, all held in Lobby 10.

The Tech Community Crafters offer jewelry, handknitted goods, baked goods, candles, hand-made soaps, dolls and more on Thursday-Friday, Dec. 2-3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, e-mail Brenda Blais, bmblais@mit.edu.

The Glass Lab will hold their holiday sale on Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 6-7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students at all levels and instructors from the Glass Lab will sell their work, with a portion of the proceeds earmarked for funding the Lab's ongoing activities. The Student Art Association's bi-annual ceramics sale of sculptures, figures and functional ware made by instructors and students will be held Wednesday-Thursday, Dec. 8-9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 253-7019 or see http://web.mit.edu/saa.
