Johnson Games registration deadline set for next Friday

The 2002 Johnson Games will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28 in celebration of the opening of the new graduate residence at 70 Pacific St. The deadline for team registration is Friday, May 10.

The opening celebration, post-games barbecue and awards ceremony will be held in the courtyard of the new residence hall.

The Johnson Games celebrate the spirit of friendship and community, the joy of good-natured competition and the value of team spirit and effort through a combination of physical and mental activities.

Teams must have a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 40 participants, roughly a 50-50 male-female ratio, and a minimum of 40 percent students and 30 percent faculty and staff. Family members are encouraged to participate and activities for children will be available.

Questions regarding team composition and registration may be sent to johnson-games@mit.edu, or more information is available in the MIT Information Center in Room 7-12.
