CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- MIT Director of Public Safety Anne Glavin issued the following letter today to the MIT community:
To the MIT Community:
As you know, the FBI has issued an alert about possible additional terrorist attacks over the next few days. Our contacts with law enforcement agencies confirm that there is no indication that MIT, or any specific location, has been targeted. Nonetheless, we have increased security measures on campus and have reviewed and put in place our
emergency preparedness plans.
President Vest gave a summary of campus security measures in a letter to the community on Tuesday, October 9. That letter can be found on the News Office website at /newsoffice/2001/10-9-vest-letter.html.
As a reminder: please report any unusual or suspicious activity to the MIT Campus Police at 253-1212.
Thank you.
Anne P. Glavin
