United Way closer to goal

MIT's annual United Way campaign, which is still accepting donations until the end of January, has taken in $278,330, or 88 percent of the its goal for 1997-98. A total of 1,154 donors, including 63 Leadership Givers offering at least $1,000 apiece, have participated. Pledges and donations can be sent or brought to the Office of Special Community Services in Rm 20A-023 (x3-7914).

A raffle in which all donors are automatically entered will be held in mid-February. In addition to prizes already announced (MIT Tech Talk, January 7), family four-packs of Topsfield Fair tickets and tickets to the Walt Disney World on Ice production of "Hercules" will be available.
