Bob Toabe, aikido instructor in the athletics department, will perform a jazz piano program of improvisations, including his own compositions, in an Artist Behind the Desk concert Wednesday, June 7, at noon in Killian Hall.
Toabe, whose other passions include sailing on the Charles River, compares his music to seashore experiences.
"I want my audience to move with me over the keyboard, letting the music flow through us like an ocean wave, seeking expression of our deepest needs, our essential selves," Toabe said.
