IS&T renews its contract with lynda.com

MIT faculty, staff, and students can continue to freely access lynda.com’s catalog of 900-plus courses.

MIT's Information Services and Technology (IS&T) has renewed its contract with lynda.com, a popular online software training resource. MIT faculty, staff and students can continue to freely access lynda.com’s catalog of 900-plus courses.

Mark Wiklund, IS&T training manager, noted that since the pilot rollout in January 2011, more than 24,000 instructional sessions have been delivered to MIT via lynda.com, totaling more than 2,800 hours of training. Those numbers reinforce the positive feedback IS&T has received about lynda.com’s engaging tutorials, making the contract renewal a straightforward win for the MIT community.
