With college students needing any edge they can get in the job market,
what better service to the students than setting up a charm school right
on campus! In its third year, MIT's Charm School, is a fun and
lighthearted part of the Institute's Independent Activities Period, or
January term. Charm School provides a fun way for students to ask some
serious etiquette questions, polish their social skills and have a bit
of fun. Students can go from booth to booth and earn a charm coupon for
each lesson completed--6 subjects will yield a bachelor's degree, eight
a master's and twelve a PhD.

Subjects include: Buttering up Big Shots Body Language
Impressive Interviewing Ballroom Dance
E-mail and Network Etiquette Clothing Statements
It's Alimentary--complete with practice dinner tables
Formalities ...and much more

Of course the fashion cop is also looming so be careful what you wear,
lest you get a ticket!

Please Note: These events are designed for students, reporters are
welcome, but there is not room for the general public.
