Cambridge, Mass. -- MIT’s 2018 Commencement exercises will take place on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Killian Court, located off Memorial Drive. This year’s guest speaker is Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s chief operating officer and a bestselling author of three books on leadership and resilience. MIT President L. Rafael Reif will deliver the traditional charge to graduates.
The entire graduation ceremony will be webcast live at www.mit.edu.

Media Registration & Credentialing
Press badges will be mandatory to access Killian Court and must be picked up on the morning of commencement between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. in Building 4, on the first floor, adjoining Killian Court (map: http://whereis.mit.edu/?go=4). More detailed directions and instructions concerning media access will be provided for credentialed press.
All TV cameras are required to be in place no later than 9:00 a.m. The commencement program begins at 10:00 a.m. Other press should arrive no later than 9:30 a.m. to allow time for credentialing, security screening, and entrance to Killian Court.
A room (4-145) will be available where reporters can file or make calls. Light refreshments will also be available. MIT offers wireless connectivity for guests and visitors (MIT GUEST), but we encourage you to bring your own hot spot given the large number of individuals who may access the network at the same time.
We will organize a site visit Monday, June 4th for photographers and TV crews interested in covering Commencement. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in participating.
RSVP to email@example.com with the following information for each person who plans to attend: Name, Organization, Contact Information and whether you are part of a TV crew, print reporter, radio reporter or photographer. All media wishing to attend Commencement should RSVP as soon as possible to secure a credential. RSVPs must be received by Wednesday, June 6.
