Are you looking to build on and expand your professional network? Interested in exploring and researching job opportunities at MIT? HR is pleased to offer the following career development workshops this fall, which will provide you with strategies, tools, and resources to help you develop in your current role, and prepare you for future opportunities.

LinkedIn: Networking with technology

Tuesday, Oct. 20, 12-1 p.m.

The social network LinkedIn is growing in popularity. In this workshop, you will learn what practices are becoming more common, and what information to include in your profile. You will leave with insightful tips for networking at professional events and how best to follow up with new contacts.

Managing your career development at MIT

Three-part series held on the following Wednesdays: Oct. 21, Oct. 28, and Nov. 4, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This program provides an overview of different steps in your career planning process, including self-assessment, researching organizational opportunities, networking, and development planning. You will participate in a structured process to identify your values, skills, interests, and other work motivators, and explore multiple career strategies. (Note: This program consists of a combination of self-paced online learning and in-class instruction.)

Register by October 14.
