Every day, the people at MIT use their intelligence, ingenuity and passion to serve the world. With these same qualities, they also strengthen our own community. The Institute Awards Convocation is where the MIT community celebrates the students, faculty and colleagues who work to make this community possible — and the Institute needs your help to celebrate their accomplishments.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2012 Institute Awards Convocation. With nearly 30 awards across many areas and departments, the Awards Convocation is the largest awards ceremony at the Institute and features some of the most prestigious awards given at MIT including the Karl Taylor Compton Prize, the Gordon Y Billard Award, and the Arthur C. Smith Award.

MIT senior officers will present the awards to deserving recipients at the 2012 Institute Awards Convocation, which will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, in 10-250.

To nominate students, faculty, staff and other MIT community members, visit the Institute Awards Convocation website at http://awards.mit.edu/

Nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 26. Contact awards@mit.edu with any questions.
