MIT150 symposium: Conquering Cancer through the Convergence of Science and Engineering

The David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT brings life scientists and engineers together to advance cancer research. In this symposium — which will feature a series of moderated panel discussions featuring top biologists, leading clinical experts, technologists and biomedical engineers — participants will learn how and why MIT researchers are opening a new front in the fight against this insidious disease.

Topics to be addressed include:
  • What were the defining (and teaching) moments in the first three decades of “the war on cancer”?
  • How is convergence changing the cancer research paradigm at MIT?
  • What clinical results can we expect to come from the deployment of new approaches to cancer research?
The symposium will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the event website
