IDEAS, Global Challenge winners announced tonight

The IDEAS Competition and the inaugural Global Challenge will award up to $150,000 in implementation grants — up to $25,000 per team — to teams with projects that demonstrate the greatest innovation, feasibility, and potential for impact. These awards include the Global Challenge Community Choice Award, the IDEAS Competition Juried Award, and the Global Challenge Juried Award.

To meet the teams and ideas in this year’s competitions, please join us for a poster display session in Kresge Lobby at 7 p.m tonight. The awards celebration will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium. We are honored to be joined this year by MIT President Susan Hockfield, our keynote speaker Dr. Akhtar Badshah, and numerous friends of invention as publice service — at MIT and around the world. The event will stream live here beginning at 7 p.m. — we'll give you access to red carpet interviews with teams and guests, and feature live chat during the celebration.

Please join with us as we celebrate 150 years of MIT's service to the world, 10 years of IDEAS, and the launch of the MIT Global Challenge.
