More offices offer info on closing

MBTA passes may be distributed early

The Parking and Transportation Office will distribute January MBTA passes on Dec. 23 and 24 at the usual times and locations.

MIT has asked the MBTA to provide the passes earlier to allow more time for campus distribution due to MIT's special holiday closing. If passes are available at MIT earlier than the dates above, Parking and Transportation will distribute them as soon as possible. An e-mail notice will be sent out to all parking coordinators, and information also will be posted on the Parking and Transportation web site.

For those who may not be able to pick up their T pass on the scheduled dates, a new one-time mailing option is available. Participants in the T-pass program may send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the T-pass office in Room E32-105 to have their January passes mailed to them on Dec. 24, unless a participant has already picked up the pass at the distribution location.

The MBTA is raising cash fares as of Jan. 1; the increase for passes takes effect with the February passes. A price list including MIT subsidies, along with details on the January pass distribution program, can be found at http://web.mit.edu/parking.

MIT Medical open for some services

During the campus holiday closing period, MIT Medical will have regular office hours in many services, and Urgent Care will be open 24 hours a day for emergencies. For information on hours of other services, go to http://web.mit.edu/medical.

Library hours

For example, the Science and Humanities Libaries as well as Barker and Dewey will be open from Monday, Dec. 29 to Wednesday, Dec. 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A complete schedule for all libraries is available at http://libraries.mit.edu/about/hours.

Offices to process year-end gifts

These areas include the Office of Campaign Giving (452-2812 or 258-9129), the Office of Donor Partnerships (253-8617) and Principal Gifts (253-3950). Inquiries or questions regarding deferred gifts can be directed to 253-6463. For information regarding Alumni Association giving, contact the main gift recording number at 253-8270.
