MIT Medical engaged in 2 national searches

MIT Medical is conducting national searches for a new position of clinical director for campus life as well as for a chief of mental health , Medical Director William M. Kettyle has announced.

Dr. Peter Reich, 70, the current chief of mental health, announced to the department last June that on July 1, 2002, after 12 years as chief, he would step down to concentrate on his MIT clinical and research interests.

The clinical director for campus life will be a clinician with a strong background in public health, prevention and serving communities "who will help MIT Medical staff reach out to the MIT community in new ways, particularly to students," Kettyle said.

Both positions are being advertised nationally, and both search committees are using Sage Search Partners to help identify the widest possible pool of qualified candidates. Members of the MIT community can suggest possible candidates or give feedback to the search committees by sending e-mail to pherzog@sagesearch.com.
