Artists Behind the Desk seeks artists and performers

The Artists Behind the Desk committee is looking for artists of all types to show their work in its series of events in the coming year.

Artists and performers are being lined up for the fall and spring concerts in Killian Hall, the literary arts series, an inaugural visual arts exhibition at Lincoln Laboratory, and outdoor concerts in summer 2003. Any medium is welcome - painting, music, dancing, theater, comedy, writing, designing, etc.

Already scheduled are a visual arts exhibit in Rotch Library, opening with a reception on Oct. 11; story-teller Ed Dolan (Information Systems senior consultant) in Killian Hall on Oct. 9; and soprano Lynn Steele (administrative assistant at the Sloan School of Management) in Killian Hall on Nov. 13.

The Artists Behind the Desk committee also welcomes event advisors and consultants as well as new committee members. The program is sponsored by the MIT Working Group for Support Staff Issues and supported by grants from the Council for the Arts at MIT and Human Resources, as well as time, materials and services donated by other areas.
