CAREER KICKOFF

"Career Planning at MIT," a new multiservice career center within Human Resources, will hold an open house for all employees today from 10am-2pm in Rm E19-220. Events include demonstrations of a new on-line assessment tool, tours of the Resource Room, a raffle and refreshments.

SAP UPGRADE

The previously announced SAP upgrade and the resulting temporary SAP shutdown are scheduled to begin at 10pm tomorrow (January 25) and run through mid-morning on Monday, Jan. 29. For details such as purchasing options during the shutdown, see the online Financial Systems Update newsletter or the article about the upgrade in the January 10 issue of Tech Talk.

PHYS ED LOTTERY

The lottery for third-quarter physical education classes for students, staff, faculty and family members starts on Thursday, Jan. 25 and runs until 1pm on Tuesday, Feb. 6. Results will be posted the following day. Late registration will be at the first meeting of each class. Students register on line through WebSIS. Staff, faculty and spouses who hold athletic cards may register in the Physical Education office (Rm W32-125) from 9am-5pm daily. Class schedules and descriptions are on line.
