Housing lists go on line

Listings for off-campus housing rentals are now posted on line at the MIT Off-Campus Housing Service web site. The site gives information about short- and long-term apartment, house and furnished-room rentals, as well as lists of people looking for roommates in metropolitan Boston.

The web site provides detailed information about the Boston-area housing and rental markets, including temporary housing resources and links to related web sites. Access to the web site requires an MIT certificate.

The office plans to expand the web site in the future so people will be able to post rentals on line.

The Off-Campus Housing Service, a division of Residential Life and Student Life Programs, advises tenants on landlord/tenant law issuesand reviews leases for members of the community. The service is available to all MIT affiliates: students, staff, faculty, alumni and visiting faculty. The office also has information on furniture resources, child care resources and other housing related information. It will continue to provide these services in its office in Rm E32-128.

For more information, see the web site or contact Off-Campus Housing at x3-1493.
