The MIT Federal Credit Union offices are collection points for donations to the Toys for Tots Program sponsored by the US Marine Corps. To contribute to the program, which has a long tradition of providing toys to needy children during the December holiday season, bring an unwrapped new toy to the Credit Union in Rm E19-437 on the MIT campus or Building A, Rm 100 at Lincoln Laboratory no later than Thursday, Dec. 16.
Campus Police and Aramark are also holding a holiday toy drive through December 13. Donations of new, unwrapped, nonviolent toys can be dropped of at the Dome Caf on the fourth floor of Building 10, Lobdell or Networks in the Student Center, Refresher Course in the Sloan School and Walker Memorial. Toys can also be dropped off at the Community holiday buffet in the Faculty Club on December 14.
The Campus Police/Aramark organizers suggest as appropriate gifts: trucks, books, LEGOs, CDs, cars, puzzles, skates, skateboards, games, trains, and dolls of all shapes, sizes and colors. They also welcome new children's mittens, hats, gloves, T-shirts and socks. For more information, contact Sgt. Cheryl deJong Vossmer of Campus Police at firstname.lastname@example.org.
