United Way raffle next week

A raffle to draw prize-winners from among everyone who donated to MIT's United Way campaign will be held after a thank-you party for solicitors on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

As of February 9, the campaign had received $302,700 from 1,230 members of the MIT community, including 71 Leadership Givers who pledged at least $1,000 apiece. The total puts the fund drive at 96 percent of its $315,000 goal.

Everyone who donated is automatically entered in the raffle, which will feature a variety of prizes from local businesses. Winners will be notified by phone. At the thank-you party from 2-3:30pm in the Sala de Puerto Rico at the Stratton Student Center, all solicitors are invited to make their own sundaes and other desserts. Ice cream and toppings will be provided by Toscanini's.
