Potential retirees must notify Benefits

Employees who are considering retirement in 1998 should contact the Benefits Office as soon as possible.

Retirement counselors are available on campus and at Lincoln Laboratory for consultations, retirement estimates and education on the retiree benefits package. They are also available for private retirement planning sessions and can meet with employees one to two years before an estimated retirement date.

Employees with a firm retirement date, however, must contact a counselor at least two months before retirement to enroll in retiree benefits. They may do so by calling the Benefits Office at x3-6151 (or 981-7055 at Lincoln Lab), or by visiting the MIT Benefits Office web site.
