A program on "Balancing Family Life with Academic Careers" will be held Tuesday, Oct. 27 from noon-1:30pm in the Mezzanine Lounge of the Student Center. All members of the MIT community are invited to attend and bring lunch; beverages and dessert will be provided.
The moderator for the event will be Toni P. Robinson, ombudsperson in the Office of the President. Sharing their experiences will be three MIT panelists: Associate Professor Peter Dedon of the Division of Bioengineering and Environmental Health, Professor Martha Gray of electrical engineering and computer science and Assistant Professor Paula Hammond of chemical engineering. Joining them will be Assistant Professor Diane Hoffman-Kim of Brown University.
The event is co-sponsored by the Family Resource Center, the MIT Association for Postdoctoral Women, and Lynn Roberson, the coordinator for women's programs and support within Counseling and Support Services.
