Vendor fair set

More than 80 of MIT's suppliers will display their products and answer questions at the fifth annual vendor fair on Thursday, Oct. 9. The fair will be in a tent on McDermott Court from 10am-4pm.

At the fair, sponsored by the General Purchasing Office, vendors and attendees can discuss how to achieve MIT's supplier-consolidation goal of cutting costs while enhancing the quality of goods and services.

There will be demonstrations of the Web-based ECAT system, as well as information on SAP, the CopyTech Centers, Mail Services and MIT's new Visa purchasing card.

Vendors of office and computer supplies, laboratory apparatus, chemicals, electronic components, small equipment, furniture, office furnishings, temporary help, compressed gas and other goods and services will be at the fair. Refreshments will be available. For more information, call Diane Shea, director of Purchasing, at x3-8370.
