Faculty members surveyed on educational technology

The Task Force on Student Life and Learning has developed a faculty survey on educational technology that will be sent during the last week of October. The survey will ask faculty members which educational technologies they currently use inside and outside the classroom, as well as the desirability of using various technologies in the near future. It will also ask respondents to identify the extent to which various factors impede their current use of educational technology in teaching at MIT.

The survey was assembled with suggestions and help from many individuals and groups involved with the planning and implementation of educational technology over the short and long term, including Academic Computing, Audio-Visual Services, the Center for Advanced Educational Services, the Council on Educational Technology, the Center for Educational Computing Initiatives, the Planning Office and the Registrar's Office.
