Commencement speaker ideas wanted

The Commencement Committee invites suggestions for the guest speaker at MIT's Commencement Exercises on Friday, June 6, 1997, from all members of the community. The speaker should be one who can address topics of relevance to MIT.

Written suggestions may be dropped off at the Undergraduate Association Office in Rm W20-401, the Graduate Student Council Office in Rm 50-222 or the Information Center in Rm 7-121.

Suggestions may also be filed with Constantine Morfopoulos, president of the GSC, ; Pardis Sabeti, president of the Class of 1997, ; or Gayle M. Fitzgerald, executive officer for Commencement, .

All suggestions will be reviewed and a list will be submitted to President Charles M. Vest for consideration. The list will not be made public. The responsibility and authority for selecting a Commencement speaker and issuing an invitation will rest with President Vest.

The deadline for nominations in Friday, Oct. 4.
