Meetings will explain redesigned repair and maintenance process

The Repair and Maintenance team will hold information sessions about the new repair and maintenance procedures on September 17, 18 and 19 for people who work in the buildings located in Zones A and B of the campus.

The buildings in Zone A include Buildings 14, 16, 18, 50, 51, 54, 56, 66, 68. Those in Zone B include Buildings 13, 17, 17A, 17B, all wings of Building 20, 24, 26, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 48, 57, 70, and NE43.

The information sessions will explain how building maintenance will be performed starting on September 23. Anyone who reports problems to Physical Plant should attend one of the three sessions for their zone.

The date, time and location for sessions about Zone A are as follows: September 17, 10-11am, Rm 68-180; September 18, 10-11am, Rm 68-180; and September 19, 2-3pm, Rm W20-201.

The date, time and location for sessions about Zone B are as follows: September 17, 11am-noon, Rm 68-180; September 18, 11am-noon, Rm 68-180; and September 19, 3-4pm, Rm W20-201.

The information sessions will cover how customers should communicate problems, daily operations, off-hour coverage, emergencies and local vs. central zones in Physical Plant. These new repair and maintenance procedures are based on a redesign which has already been implemented in Zones D and E of the campus. The final zone, Zone C, will begin using the new process in October.
